Matt Bomer to guest on “The New Normal”
How delicious is THIS?
Two actual gay men actually portraying gay men on television.
What a concept!
Matt Bomer, the hunky star of TV’s White Collar, is to guest star on NBC’s The New Normal as the ex-boyfriend of Bryan who is played by Andrew Rannells.
The show’s creator Ryan Murphy broke the news on Twitter earlier today: “Guess who’s coming on The New Normal as Bryan’s sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!”
The comedy has been given a full season order by NBC. In it, Rannells plays one-half of a gay couple (his partner is played by straight actor Justin Bartha) who are expecting a child by a surrogate mother with whom they have created an unusual family.
Bomer and Murphy worked together on an episode of Glee last season and will also be working together on the feature film version of The Normal Heart.

I’m excited for Matt Bomer to appear on The New Normal! I’m sure he will work well with Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells. I was talking with a DISH coworker about the shows we like the most, and she mentioned this one. After watching it on my Hopper using the PrimeTime Anytime feature, which records all four major networks during prime time, I saw why she liked it so much. I have not missed a single episode because of the feature either! I hope that the show continues on strong because it has a good message and some good, warm laughs.
