Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert on “being in the trenches together” in battles against cancer
Sally Jenkins of The Washington Post wrote a wonderful article about tennis legends Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert whose deep friendship transcends each being one-half of the greatest rivalry in the history of tennis and perhaps in all of sports. They played 80 times over a span of 16 years, swapped the number one world ranking for big chunks of that time, and each ended up winning a total 18 grand slam singles titles (Wimbledon, French Open, US Open and Australian Open).
Over the past two years, Chrissie and Martina have leaned on each other as both battled cancer. This video is from their joint interview with Jenkins.
