Mario Cantone laments death of “SATC 3,” dishes on Aretha and reads from Wendy Williams memoir
I’m still catching up after the Thanksgiving holiday followed by a mini-vacation in Palm Springs. Just came across Mario Cantone’s visit last week to The Wendy Williams Show. He is a kick! Of course Wendy asked him about the Kim Catrall-killed Sex and the City 3 movie. He’s bummed out because his character was supposed to have some good scenes.
We now all have to go on with our lives but I’ll always be bummed out by it. I loved my idea of Sharon Stone stepping in for Catrall as Samantha but it just didn’t gain traction.
Mario also weighs in on Tamar Braxton’s backstage antics at “Redemption of a Dogg” and why he turned down Celebrity Big Brother. He also reveals that Aretha Franklin once asked Mario to do a bit at one of her shows – his impersonation of Judy Garland. She had seen him do it on The View. Aretha paid him in cash after the show.
