Madonna dedicates song to Elton John in concert

When it comes to the feud between Elton John and Madonna, I have to side with Madonna simply because Elton has been unreasonably over-the-top with his insults hurled the Material Girl.

It all blew up in January when Madonna beat Elton out for the Golden Globe Award for best original song after he had made insulting comments about her on the red carpet. He looked miserable on worldwide television after she beat him.

Then more recently, Elton really went after her again in an interview calling her a “fairground stripper” and a “c*nt.” He came off looking like a petty bitch (I’m not anti-Elton at all, but I’m not a fan of this kind of behavior).

Madonna has now responded by dedicating the song Masterpiece to him in Nice, France, during her worldwide MDNA tour. But it clearly was a jab since that was the song she won the Globe for!

At the 2012 Golden Globes, Madonna won Best Original Song for Masterpiece beating John’s track for animated film Gnomeo and Juliet.
