I d0 think this is one of Barbra Streisand’s finest performances – ever – and that’s saying something. It was in the months following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, emotions still so raw, and the Emmy Awards finally took place after being postponed twice. Ellen DeGeneres won America’s hearts forever as the host of the telecast. After Ellen got a thunderous ovation at what people thought was the end of the show, out came a surprise: Barbra Streisand.

She said nothing. She just sang.
