Lunch Break Video: On Faye Dunaway’s 72nd birthday, it’s time for some scenes from “Mommie Dearest”
There’s a lot of people who say Faye Dunaway is kind of a rhymes with rich.
And who’s to say they’re wrong.
But it’s her 72nd birthday and I want to celebrate her work.
She has been the leading lady in such classics as Chinatown, Bonnie and Clyde, Network, The Thomas Crown Affair and Dunston Checks In (Wait, how’d that get in there?) but as a gay man, it is my absolute duty – and delight – the shine a light on the movie she hates to talk about but that we all love: Mommie Dearest.
She was a better Joan Crawford than Crawford herself.
