Lunch Break Video: Hillary Clinton speaks out for LGBT equality in new campaign ad

Awfully nice to now have her fully and publicly on our side.

Images of video of make couples and female couples – some who lock lips – are interspersed with some of Hillary Clinton’s speeches during which she speaks out against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The former Secretary of State and US senator from New York is seen addressing the Human Rights Campaign recently in Washington DC and says: ‘It’s outrageous that in 2015 you can still be fired for being gay, you can still lose your home for being gay, you can even be denied a wedding cake for being gay. This kind of discrimination goes against everything we stand for as a country.

‘I’m running for president to stand up for the fundamental rights of LGBT Americans and all Americans.’

Clinton YouTube page where the video is posted states: ‘Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans deserve to live their lives free from discrimination. Hillary knows the fight for LGBT equality will not be finished until every American can not only marry, but also live, work, pray, learn, and raise a family free from discrimination.’

One Remark

  1. I got quite emotional watching that. I always hope that our GLBT brothers and sisters who fought SO hard for equality but weren’t able to benefit from it can see this.

We’ve come so far and yet we still have more to do.

    Onward we go!
