Lunch Break Video: Elizabeth Taylor talks about Montgomery Clift and “A Place in the Sun”
One of my favorite movies – ever – is A Place in the Sun.
The 1951 classic is about a poor boy (Montgomery Clift) gets a job working for his rich uncle and ends up falling in love with a beautiful young socialite (Elizabeth Taylor).
This film marked the beginning of a life-long friendship between the equally beautiful Taylor and Clift who would go on to make Raintree County and Suddenly Last Summer together.
Enjoy this short video retrospective on the making of the film which includes an interview with Taylor which looks to have been filmed in 2001.
