Lunch Break Video: A funny Andrea Martin scene from “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” many times have you seen the 2002 romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding?

I think I’m at about a dozen and am sure there will be several more to come because it’s one of those gems that you enjoy each time. I never fail to laugh when I see this scene.

The characters played by Nia Vardalos and John Corbett could not be more different. She’s Greek and her family is full of characters and of life. Even though he’s a pretty cool guy, his parents are as uptight as can be. So when the parents meet Nia’s crazy Greek aunt played by Andrea Martin, their reactions are priceless.

In this scene, she tells them something so gross – but so bizarrely funny – that you can’t help but laugh.

3 Remarks

  1. That’s hysterical. I was just quoting this to a group of people last night. Too funny. Enjoy your day.

  2. Thanks for the awesome post, it helped me out a lot.

  3. Having grown up Greek myself, there were no scarier words than “You’re family now” Because we all knew that some sociopathic relative was about to give away somebody’s most mortifying secret. I just watched this movie yesterday for the 8th time and this scene put me into the fetal position, again!

For not being Greek herself, Anderea Martin really pegged this one.
