Luke and Noah face anti-gay discrimination during apartment search on “As the World Turns”

Things can move fast – or very slowly – on As the World Turns in the lives of our favorite young gay couple Luke (Van Hansis) and Noah (Jake Silbermann). They’re together, they’re apart, they’re kissing then they’re not then they are again. They’re not sleeping together more than a year into the relationship then suddenly do. Now, Luke is sobered up, Noah doesn’t want to join the Army or marry an Iraqi woman so they decide to move in together!

Noah finds the perfect place and all seems well until a homophobic landlord lies and tells them it is rented! Noah wants to just move on to another place but not feisty Luke: “We can’t let this landlord get away with breaking the law!” Luke’s mom Lily comes up with the idea of staging a protest and making it a part of Luke’s foundation which has been lacking a focus.

I must say, it is so refreshing to see ATWT writers give the boys this kind of storyline – reflecting real life – instead of cooking up some stupid murder plot we don’t care about.
