Lucy Friday: When Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton did a hilarious guest spot on “Here’s Lucy”

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4112/5065286857_10e0469db1.jpgBURTONS DO COMEDY: The year was 1970 and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton agreed to guest star on Lucille Ball’s third sitcom Here’s Lucy.

The Krupp Diamond, given to Elizabeth by Burton during their first marriage, is at the center of the comedy here as Lucy gets it stuck on her finger and can’t get it off!

Elizabeth, looking tan and gorgeous, was in her late 30s by that time and is very funny in her scenes with the famous redhead. Here is a LINK to part of the episode.

Enjoy!

    Hello there Greg,

My name is Dan *** and I writing to you on behalf of the Tartaglia family. We would like to know if you are planning to show Liz Taylor’s footprints ceremony photos or to make mention of it in such documentary articles of her life?

If so, we have even more Hollywood News to share with you if you will please contact us. As you see, our family has secured the website, http://WWW.HOLLYWOODFOOTPRINTS.COM for good reason. I have referenced this story as “The Complete Untold Hollywood Footprints Story.” Even though this site is under construction, you may also read about the story posted elsewhere online:

    as well as well…
Facebook’s Community Page (founded by myself) for “HOLLYWOOD FOOTPRINTS”.

We would like to share with you the fact that my great uncle, JOHN TARTAGLIA, was the cement artist/masonry master to perform the work for ELIZABETH TAYLOR’s ceremony along with Rock Hudson and George Stevens on (September 26, 1956), Hollywood Footprints installed at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

John Tartaglia carried on the work in which Jean Klossner “Mr. Footprint” once began. He served as the masonry master for 34 years while also the Interior Decorator for Grauman’s beginning in 1952. He later performed his first ceremony for Jean Simmons just one year later… on (September 24, 1953). He performed his last ceremony (while in retirement) for Eddie Murphy and Hollywood’s 100th Anniversary (May 14, 1987).

We would appreciate hearing from you. My godfather, Michael, is John’s son and would very much appreciate speaking with you as well about this in greater detail.

    Sincerely,

    Dan and The Tartaglia Family
