Linda Hunt and wife show off Hollywood home
I gotta admit, I had no idea about Linda Hunt being a lesbian until I read a piece in the Los Angeles Times over the weekend about the home she shares with wife Karen Klein.
When one thinks of an Oscar winner actress who is an out lesbian and married to a woman, Jodie Foster is probably the first and only name that comes to mind.
But we’ve also got Miss Hunt who received the best supporting actress Oscar in 1983 for The Year of Living Dangerously.
Now a star of the CBS drama NCIS: Los Angeles, Hunt opened up the Hollywood home she shares with her wife to readers of The Times a feature published over the weekend.
Although the couple has been married since 2008, they have been together since 1987 and live in a historic Hollywood neighborhood.
‘This house has whimsy and a special kind of elegance,’ Hunt told the newspaper. ‘It’s welcoming.’
The home is filled with personal touches like Hunt’s personal collection of New Yorker covers – each laminated and framed – that cover the walls of the guest room bathroom.
‘From the minute I started saving them, I knew I wanted to do something with them,’ she said.
Hunt, who has an extensive list of film, television and stage credits, made history with her Oscar win as the first person to win an Oscar for playing a character of the opposite sex.

I was pretty sure I had heard something about Hunt being gay. I had certainly believed she was for a while. I hadn’t heard she was in a long term relationship.

Miss Hunt is one of the best actresses in Hollywood her height and looks are completely forgotten when she is action her talent overshadows everything else.To me personally her sexual orientation is secondary I admire her talent.Would love to see her more often in movies or tv
