LeAnn Rimes and ex-hubby feud on Twitter

It doesn’t surprise me that LeAnn Rimes and her cutie pie ex-husband Dean Sheremet might not be on the best of terms.

After all, she did leave him back in 2010 after falling in love with hunky Eddie Cibrian while making some long-forgotten movie for Lifetime TV.

(Eddie, BTW, was married too – to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville)

Rimes and Glanville are usually the ones engaged in Twitter wars but in recent days, one erupted between Rimes and Sheremet when someone tweeted: ‘remember the good old days when @leannrimes was just a chubby country bumpkin married to a gay dude? #neverforget.’

In response, Rhimes tweeted: ‘hahahaha I’m gonna choose to laugh at this.’

Sheremet, who is remarried, was clearly irritated by his ex-wife’s laughing at the tweet and took to Twitter to say: ‘I don’t do twitter wars, but I do hate ignorance. Being gay isn’t offensive, not standing up for the truth is. @NOH*Campaign @Leannrimes.’

Ouch!

Rimes replied that she ‘was laughing at myself’ and added: ‘He’s not gay and there’s nothing wrong it. I have always & will always support the community.’

By late Monday, Sheremet had returned to light-hearted chit chat on Twitter and wrote to those who wanted to harp on the incident with Rimes: ‘Hey guys, let’s stop the hateful comments aimed at anyone. We’ve all made our points let’s move on.’
