Laverne Cox: ‘I am here for every trans woman out there to tell you you are worthy to be loved in the light’

Since this headline was taken a bit out of context to be clear I am referring to men who seek out and have sex with trans women but choose to keep us a secret. I am not saying men not attracted to trans women should be. I believe we all have our preferences and that's beautiful.  But many trans women I know are far too often reduced to being sexual objects or fetishes by men who treat us as if we don't deserve to be loved in the light, out in public and integrated into their lives as worthy partners. I am here for every trans woman out there to tell you you are worthy to be loved in the light. You deserve more.  Any man who won't be seen with you in public, who won't introduce you to friends and family after an appropriate amount of time dating, is not worth your time. Those men, whatever they are going through, need to go through that without the benefit of our beauty and light in their lives. Once they have gotten themselves together spiritually, then we should give them the benefit of our company. #TransIsBeautiful, so very beautiful.  Own it, feel it, live it, love it!

    Beautifully said. It is my opinion that Laverne Cox is one of the best role models for the trans community. I love her.
