Kickstarter effort launched for gay murder mystery “Kiss Me, Kill Me” to star Van Hansis & Gale Harold

A movie starring both Gale Harold and Van Hansis?

Okay, you had me at hello.

These are two gorgeous and talented actors who time and again deliver solid performances and have legions of loyal fans – including me!

Gale, of course, first won us over as dazzling Brian Kinney on Queer as Folk and has since gone on to star in several other TV series. Van is a three-time Emmy nominee for his role as Luke Snyder on As the World Turns and more recently has been starring in the terrific series The Eastsiders.

They will star in Kiss Me, Kill Me, an Alfred Hitchcock/Agatha Christie-style “Who-done-it” set in a little town called West Hollywood.

The plot: While confronting his unfaithful boyfriend Dusty blacks-out. When he comes to, his boyfriend was murdered and he’s the prime suspect.

Other cast members include Kit Williamson, Yolanda Ross, Matthew Ludwinski, Craig Robert Young, Brianna Brown, Tom Lenk, Jonathan Lisecki, and Allison Lane, among others.

Director/Producer: Casper Andreas (Going Down in LA-LA Land) and Screenwriter/Producer David Michael Barrett (Such Good People) launched a Kickstarter campaign this week to raise $100,000 to make the movie.

As of 12:01 am Wednesday, they have raised just over $17,000 with 29 more days to go.

Some of the rewards for donating may appeal to Hansis fans. For example, for a donation of $200 or more, you receive a personalized video greeting from Van as well as DVD and digital copies of the movie and a thank you in the credits.
