Kevin Spacey accused of coming out to detract from allegations he tried to seduce a 14-year-old Anthony Rapp
This is going to be a big story for some time to come. Kevin Spacey’s decision to finally come out publicly as a gay man is being seen by many as an attempt to detract from the real story which is Broadway star Anthony Rapp (Rent) accusing a then 26-year-old Spacey of trying to seduce him when Rapp was just 14. Rapp, now part of the cast of Star Trek: Discovery, told his story to BuzzFeed News. Spacey, the winner of two Academy Awards, is being widely slammed on Twitter for coming out in the same statement as his apology. Here is a sampling:

I read the Buzzfeed article and have doubts on the recall of 30 years by a fourteen year old who perhaps has a keen interest in the life and career of Kevin Spacey who may or may not have made a pass at him. But if true shame on you Kevin.
