John Cameron Mitchell will play a Milo Yiannopoulos type character on ‘The Good Fight’
From Hedwig and the Angry Inch to Milo Yiannopoulos?
Well, not exactly – but close.
John Cameron Mitchell has been cast as a Yiannopoulos-inspired character on an The Good Fight.
He will appear in an episode of the CBS All-Access drama that begins streaming on March 19, according to TV Line.
Mitchell portrays Felix Staples, an openly gay alt-right provocateur, in the episode of the spinoff from The Good Wife.
Christine Baranski reprises her Emmy-nominated role on the new show and now works for the law firm of Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad.
The firm is hired by tech mogul played by out actor John Benjamin Hickey who wants to combat hate speech on his company’s social media platform.
One of the primary offenders is Staples.
Yiannopoulos is the disgraced gay right wing journalist who seemed to endorse clerical abuse and underage sex on a podcast last year.
Since the video surfaced last month, he lost his job as an editor at Breitbart News, a book deal with Simon & Shuster and was disinvited to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
TV Line teases that there is ‘a sublime, episode-ending dressing down of Mitchell’s Felix at the hands of Christine Baranski’s Diane.’
