Jodie Foster will direct George Clooney in new film
Jodie Foster, up for an Emmy for directing an episode of Orange is the New Black this year, has her next directing job lined up.
The two-time Oscar-winning actress will direct the thriller Money Monster starring George Clooney.
The movie has Clooney playing a TV money guru and is held hostage – along with his studio audience – by a man who followed a bad stock tip. He threatens to kill Clooney’s character if the stock doesn’t rise before the end of day, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Money Monster will be the fourth feature film directed by Foster and the first since 2011′s The Beaver. The others were Little Man Tate in 1991 and Home for the Holidays in 1995.
She is best known for her work in front of the camera starring in such films as The Silence of the Lambs, Panic Room, Contact, The Accused, Nell and Flightplan.
The 51-year-old actress married photographer and former actress Alexandra Hedison in April. She went public about being a lesbian at the Golden Globe Awards in 2013.
