Jane Lynch is Broadway bound!
I’ve met Jane Lynch on several occasions and she has always been quite lovely.
But boy, she sure can play a bitch just about better than anyone else!
better than anybody.
It’s just been announced that that Glee’s Sue Sylvester will now be spreading her mean act to the Broadway stage in the musical Annie in the role of evil orphanage matron Miss Hannigan.
Lynch will be making her Broadway debut in May at The Palace Theatre during a summer hiatus from Glee which is now in its fourth season. She fills in for eight weeks for Kate Finneran who is leaving to do a television project.
‘Some may say I know a thing or two about playing intimidating authority figures,’ Lynch tells The Wrap of her new gig. ‘So I am excited and honored to be making my Broadway debut with the wonderful ‘Annie’ company at the Palace Theatre and joining the pantheon of women who have taken on the great and irresistible role of wicked Miss Hannigan.’
