Jake Shears pays tribute to Sweetie …

The world has lost an amazing person. Sweetie, one of the best. Kind and hilarious. Could nail a number unlike anything we'd ever seen. Threw great parties too, and was one of the very first people to bring Scissor Sisters to the stage. We played quite a few of those parties, and I have so many great memories. Sweetie's support early on, filled me with a New York Confidence that was indispensable. I will always remember how good she made me feel, through her performances, wit and generosity. Condolences to all friends and family and to New York itself.
