Jack Falahee on his sudden fame and a crazy night at the Pantages Theatre when he went to see “Pippin”

Jack Falahee has become an instant star thanks to his role on ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder.

He found out just how famous he’s become during a night out at the theater in LA recently.

Falahee tells E! Online: “Honestly, everyone has been super kind and respectful. Which I think maybe was a little surprising to me. I think the only crazy experience I’ve had was, I was going to see Pippin at the Pantages Theater. I went on opening night and I was…sort of stampeded. I was rushed going into the theater by fans. I was sort of in a state of disbelief. Like, they can’t possibly be running at me?! But even then people were really respectful and just asked for photos and some autographs and had some very nice things to say.”

Gee, I wonder if he’s talking about me and my pal Jim Key!

I first spotted Jack on the red carpet that night and was hoping to get a quick interview with him.

He wasn’t doing any but he did pose for a photo for me (upper left).

After I was through with my red carpet duties, Jim and I took our seats in the theater and I showed him the photo I had taken of Jack.

Jim sees a guy sitting 3 or 4 rows in front of us wearing the same shirt but I say it can’t be Falahee because that dude’s hair was too wild.

Turns out it was Falahee only he has changed his hair. Just then the lights go down and the curtain goes up.

During intermission, we decide it would be fun to get a photo with Jack and stroll out to the lobby.

We don’t see him anywhere.

Intermission is nearly over and suddenly Jim and I turn into Lucy and Ethel in an episode of I Love Lucy.

We decide that since we know where Jack is sitting, we will walk to the front of the theater near the stage then slowly make our way back up the aisle towards our seats so we can ‘bump into him.’

We ease up the aisle past his seat then past our seats and finally we are at the exit and there is about a minute before the curtain goes back up.

We are just about to dart out the door and into another door to get to our seats and there he is!

We say hi, Jack is very nice and we ask someone to take a photo of the three of us. Jack wants us to make sure it is a photo we like even though the ushers are about to close the doors.

Mission accomplished!

4 Remarks

  1. He’s a cute guy but I don’t know if I would have recognized him in a crowd! Its nice to hear that he is polite to his fans.

  2. I was wondering what nationality the name Falahee might be. Anyhow, he’s got tall, dark, and handsome covered 100%.

  3. This article had me smiling to out and out laughing when I got the part “I love Lucy” (I’m thinking John Wayne episode). I can see me doing the same but I never seem to ask for a photo till I met Anne Rice’s son Christopher Rice. He’s a cool dude too.

  4. For our next adventure, we’ll be stomping grapes… :-)
