It’s now official: Lindsay Lohan will portray Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime TV movie about the legendary star

I’m glad to see that Lindsay Lohan is going to try and get her once very successful acting career back on track because no one has the patience for any more of her antics partying or shoplifting and God knows what else.

But playing Elizabeth Taylor? Really?

She seems to be an odd choice.

But anyway, it is now official: Lohan has officially signed on to play Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick, the network said Monday.

Production on the film begins in early June in LA.

It will focus on Miss Taylor’s relationship with Richard Burton to whom she was married to twice and starred opposite in such films as Cleopatra, Taming of the Shrew, The Sandpiper, The VIPs, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

“I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,” Lohan said in a statement. “She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

Rob Sharenow, executive vice president, programming, of Lifetime Networks, added that Lohan “is one of the rare actresses who possesses the talent, beauty and intrigue to capture the spirit of such a provocative icon.”

  1. The casting of Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion. I’m glad, at least, that it’s only a Lifetime movie! Lohan is a has-been.

Poor Liz… He life was hard enough…and now they hired an even worse actress than her to portray her in a TV movie no less!
If Hollywood can’t honor one of their own properly, they let them rest in peace. At least Liz was a star! Not so and never will be Linsay Lohan.

  3. This is an April fools joke…right?

  4. Wow, that’s a mistake….
