It’s Faye Dunaway’s 70th birthday today! Let’s celebrate with some scenes from “Mommie Dearest”,%20&%20Faye%20Dunaway-621x322-3.jpgJust don’t give her any wire hangers for a present.

Remember, No! Wire! Hangers! Ever!

I’m quite sure that Faye Dunaway, the Oscar winning star of Network and such well-regarded films as Bonnie & Clyde, Chinatown, Hurry Sundown, The Thomas Crown Affair, Towering Inferno, Three Days of the Condor and Barfly would be unhappy with a focus on Mommie Dearest, the 1981 cult classic in which she chewed up the scenery as Joan Crawford. She never wants to talk about the film. If she’d embrace it and have some fun, she’d probably be more popular!

Miss Dunaway has never stopped working in feature films and television and even won an Emmy in the early 90s for a terrific turn in a Columbo movie and Golden Globes for the TV miniseries Gia and Ellis Island.

Here are a few classic scenes from the oldie but a goodie Mommie Dearest:

2 Remarks

  1. that was stupid

  2. I can understand why she doesn’t want to embrace “Mommie Dearest”. This is the movie she feels ruined her career taking her off the Hollywood A list. Who’d want to keep re-hashing that?
