In the final weeks of “As the World Turns,” Dr. Reid Oliver realizes “It’s stupid to try and avoid love because you’re scared.”
It’s all winding down folks and I am feeling so sad about it!
Got to remember: It’s just a television show!
As the World Turns has just a few weeks left to go and that means the story of Luke Snyder and Reid Oliver will also be ending.
Reid has changed a lot – for the better – because of Luke and it is wonderful to see that he is open to it. He’s always been solid in his profession and his care for patients but the Chris Hughes storyline has let us know exactly how solid and loyal Reid can be.
Eric Sheffer Stevens and Van Hansis are taking us into the final episodes at the top of their games.

There are a lot LuRe fans that are extremely unhappy about the way this story is ending. I’m holding out until after Sep. 17 before having any final thoughts/opinion about the entire storyline. Despite the inconsistent writing and sometimes flimsy plots, I have always enjoyed VH and ESS performance. I agree that the Chris Hughes storyline has brought forth what is great about Reid. Next week is going to be very sad and hard to watch.

I am so pissed. Reid Oliver has to be one of the best characters I’ve seen on TV and he gets killed? OK I get it…the show is ending and it’s a soap so that means tons of drama…but the time he was on ATWT was so short it makes you want to punch the writers for not coming up with something as genius as this before. I really hate how the Reid&Luke story turned out, but I’m glad someone like Eric Sheffer Stevens graced us with his talent. Can’t wait to see what he does next!

i was just starting to like his character. i wish the writers had thrown us a bone and allowed he and luke to ride off into the sunset. i had 11 cousins and an uncle killed by a train over 30 years ago. and the scene where he looks up to see it approaching him with no way out broke my heart into a million pieces-i thought that wound had healed. great job mr. stevens. you are a tslented actor. i will miss atwt. been watching for over 40 yrs. henry coleman…..YOU ROCK!!!!!! can’t wait to see what you and mr. stevens do next. i believe the two of you are the finest and most talented actors on the show. much love and continued success to the entire cast.
