In new talk show promo, Anderson Cooper talks about growing up as the son of Gloria Vanderbilt
Busy Anderson Cooper has a daytime talk show set to debut on Sept. 12 and to promote it, he’s been answering Twitter questions. Someone asked The Silver Fox: “What was it like growing up with a famous fashion designer as a mother?”
His mother is, of course, Gloria Vanderbilt, who was already a famous heiress and socialite when she launched a staggeringly successful line of jeans.
“I didn’t really realize my mom was famous until probably when I started to be a teenager and started to suddenly see her name on people’s butts,” Anderson says. “That was a little strange. My brother and I actually used to have a game where we would count how many people we saw wearing her name when that whole thing first started.”
