“I Love Lucy” Friday: Lucy misses ship to Europe!

Lucy is heading to Europe on a big ocean liner with Ricky, Fred and Ethel.

Of course, things go wrong from the start.

The boat is about to depart and Lucy runs down the plank once more to give Little Ricky a kiss goodbye (he’s staying back in New York with her mother). The boat starts to edge away from the dock and as she’s about to leap on, her skirt gets caught.

Her only option is to be lowered onto the deck of the ship via helicopter.

It’s not until she is up in the air that Lucy realizes exactly how she will make her big arrival.
