“I Love Lucy” Friday: Lucy and Ethel pretend to be women from Mars invading Empire State Building!
The girls need to make some money and they need it fast. So they agree to take part in a publicity stunt that calls for them to pretend they’re martians invading the observation deck of the Empire State Building.
The noises and phrases they make are hysterical: “It’s a moooo-mooooo.”
Back home, Ricky and Fred catch wind of it and play a joke on the girls that scares the daylights out of them. Lucy’s scream at the 4:40 mark of this video is like nothing I had ever seen her do before – or since!

Thanks for this, Greg, but I think the first half of this episode is just as funny–the witty repartee between Mary Jane Croft and Lucy is some of the best ever: (“Lucy, dahling, I’d hate to print your name in the book and put a zero after it!”)….Happy 100th birthday to Lucy next year!
