“I Love Lucy” Friday: Lucy and Ethel go on TV to unsell “Aunt Martha’s Old Fashioned Salad Dressing”

Love this episode!

It’s called “The Million Dollar Idea” and it has Lucy and Ethel deciding to go into business together.

It all begins when the Mertzes are eating dinner at the Ricardos and everyone is raving about Lucy’s salad dressing which is from a recipe she got from her Aunt Martha.

The girls decide the salad dressing is so good that they are going to sell it and get some airtime on a local TV station.

They get all kinds of orders and are busy filling them when Ricky rains on their parade and informs them that they are actually losing money on each jar!

That leads to this second commercial where the girls try and unsell the dressing and put the whole mess behind them.
