Happy Birthday to Florence Henderson!

She really is a lovely lady and I’m just crazy about Florence Henderson who is 78 years young on this Valentine’s Day.

The dynamic star has always been far more than Carol Brady with a stage career that includes several Broadway productions and the national touring company of Oklahoma!

She still performs on stage in her fabulous one-woman show All the Lives of Me, most recently over the weekend  under the musical direction of Emmy award-winning Composer Glen Roven at Joe’s Pub in NYC. On Feb. 22, she will host Broadway Backwards. The annual event features performers singing tunes usually associated with the opposite gender.

Florence was pretty saucy last year as I recall and, no doubt, will be a big smash. The event is being presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, and will benefit both organizations.
