Happy Birthday to Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gloria Steinem!

Two musical legends celebrated birthdays today: Elton John and Aretha Frankin.

New daddy Elton, who paid tribute to his friend Elizabeth Taylor this week, turned 64. Aretha, the undisputed Queen of Soul, turned 69 and appear to be on the mend from a serious health scare that has led to her losing a substantial amount of weight.

I was not aware that these two superstars had collaborated musically on occasion including on the song Through the Storm for a live performance of the song Border Song (see video).

Also, happy birthday to Carrie Bradshaw herself, the wonderfully talented and lovely Sarah Jessica Parker turned 46 while feminist, journalist, and social and political activist Gloria Steinem is 77.
