Go see “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice”
The new Linda Ronstadt documentary really gave me the feels the other night.
It thoroughly covers the early days (Different Drum) the 70s superstar period (You’re No Good, Blue Bayou, When Will I Be Loved?), Broadway (The Pirates of Penzance), the albums of standards (What’s New), the mariachi music (Canciones de me Padre), the Trio albums, Jerry Brown.
Standout interviews with Emmy Lou Harris, JD Souther, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton, Jackson Browne, and so many more. And the final scene with Ronstadt herself is alone worth the price of admission.
See it!
