Glee Video: See New Directions perform a stupendous version of “Don’t Stop Believin’” for Mr. Schue

Last night, on part two of the 100th episode of Glee, the cast bid farewell to William McKinley High School and the New Directions glee club as the series shifts its focus entirely on its New York storyline.

Except for the late Cory Monteith, the entire original cast is in this wonderful number Don’t Stop Believin’ as a tribute to Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison). The group performed the number memorably during the first season.

A nice touch to give the original glee club members the first portion of the song then to have later members join in along the way.

Well done!

One Remark

  1. I hate that the show seems to be moving to New York. Glee has always been at its best when it focused on the actual glee club with new kids and new problems arising. I was glad to see the seniors graduating (I was hoping to be rid of the completely annoying Rachel for good). I liked seeing the adults and their issues as well. Coach Bieste, Sue, Mr. Shue, the rivalries with the other glee clubs…those, to me, were the heart of the show not Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana or any individual person. It was always about a misfit GROUP of kids overcoming their differences to come together and be more than they ever could be as individuals. I’m glad the show is ending if this is the storyline they are taking. It reminds me of both versions of 90210. I never needed to follow “the stars”. I wanted the show to focus on high school and STAY THERE. There were always going to be new freshmen and transfers coming in. High school is the star not the kids.
