George Michael has died at age 53

George Michael has died at the age of 53. His publicist has released the following statement: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.” BBC said police stated there were no suspicious circumstances.

  1. A truly gifted singer who’s “Patience” is a gem to me!

  2. This fucking year needs to end already.

  3. Wow!!! I’m shocked and on Christmas Day. This is so sad and he was way to young. 2016 has been a bad year or loss. RIP George Michael. You gave us some wonderful music and memories. Thank you.

  4. Wishing all a Merry Christmas!!!! I’m saddened by the news of George Michael, who was just EVERYTHING!!!! He had a gift that kept on giving because he was talented, he had this unique swagger that was undeniable.
He was adored and beloved by so many and sometimes he was even ridiculed and treated in a way that no one should endure and yet he continued to keep on keeping on. Then the man that couldn’t do any wrong would end up being attacked for his personal choices and for wanting to have something of his very own his privacy. Rest in Peace beautiful George because you made such a dent on the world and like many talented and legendary people that have passed on before you, many wouldn’t have any ideal how they enriched the lives of normal people like myself. One of my favorite songs of all times is: “Everything She Wants” and the video was just amazing and George was this young lad that had girls and gay boys like myself just losing it. Tan like no other and in Black and White it’s hard to tell but you could see his skin glistening. His hair flopped when it should and was still when it shouldn’t take away from his hoops (his earrings) and of course his 5′clock shadow (his beard) that just gave you this impression that the new English Invasion was happening once again. I just played ‘Careless Whisper’ and I had a bit of a moment because he just changed the game with that song and had the R&B community on their feet, wanting to know who this English lad was.
His band mate Andrew was no Shem (cousin from The Three Stoogies) either because he was just as HOT and tender as George.
I’m sorry, I’m just so broken that I’m rambling but I do know George was just this beautiful man who can blow with the best of them. He is going to be missed greatly. I’m going to play “I Want Your Sex” next and ‘Freedom’ which is such a good song and I pray he is Free now.

  5. I just want to cry. Grew up listening to his music. Its so sad to see another music legend gone to soon.

  6. I have never seen a year where so many talented and beloved people have left us. Cool Curt, your tribute to George was a joy to read; thank you! I remember exactly what I was doing and who I was doing it with at the time of Wake Me Up Before You Go Go topped the charts. Although it’s a lovely memory, I’m sad that George has died. Rest in peace, and thank you for the wonderful music you left behind for us.
