“Gayby” star Matthew Wilkas is part of OUT 100
What an exciting time for actor Matthew Wilkas who has been unveiled as one of the OUT 100.
I’ll share with you the complete list in a bit but wanted to give Matthew his own post just as I did for Thomas Roberts and Patrick Abner yesterday. This is because they are Greg In Hollywood faves.
Writes OUT: Wilkas spent most of his evenings this year on stage playing Flash Thompson in the epic Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark (he also served as an understudy for Peter Parker/Spider-Man). But it was his beguiling, aw-shucks, all-too-relatable performance in Jonathan Lisecki’s festival favorite, Gayby, in which he starred as a heartbroken gay comic book artist who agrees to conceive a child with his best hetero girlfriend, that left us decidedly smitten. Our Spidey sense tells us we’ll be hearing a lot more from Wilkas in the months to come.
The beautiful black and white photo of a shirtless Matthew was taken by M. Sharkey and the photo below was taken today as Matthew waited to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America.
