Friday Morning Man: Édgar Ramírez!
So last night I saw the film Gold starring Matthew McConaughay and was really swooning over his co-star Edgar Ramirez.
I first laid eyes on this handsome guy a few ago at the LA Film Festival when he starred in this magnificent movie called Libertador. In that film he played Simón Bolívar, a military and political leader who played a key role in Latin America’s successful struggle for independence from the Spanish Empire.
The Venezuelan actor is 39 and has an impressive filmography that includes playing Carlos in the 2010 French-German biopic series Carlos, a role for which he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor and was nominated for a Golden Globe and Emmy Award for best actor.
He also played Larry, a CIA operative in Pakistan, in the film Zero Dark Thirty, and Paz, a CIA assassin, in The Bourne Ultimatum. He also had a role in last year’s The Girl on the Train.
