Friday Video: Lucie Arnaz paid beautiful tribute to her mother Lucille Ball at first TV Hall of Fame ceremony
Lucille Ball died 30 years ago and many people are reminiscing today about our favorite redhead.
Her daughter, Lucie Arnaz, couldn’t be there when her mother was one of the first of seven people inducted into the very first Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1984.
Lucie was appearing on Broadway and the show was taking place in Hollywood.
But by the magic of video, Lucie paid beautiful musical tribute to her mom and left Miss Ball dissolved in tears. Desi Arnaz Jr. was on hand to introduce his sister and to tell his mom he loves her.
We also see some of Carol Burnett who remarks: “I see you out there and you are dissolved out there. I just hope one day my kids can do the same thing for me.”
