Flashback Friday: Lauren Bacall’s flirty 1980 visit with Johnny Carson on “The Tonight Show”
Another wonderful video of the late, great Lauren Bacall has surfaced. The year is 1980 and her acclaimed autobiography, By Myself, has been released in paperback. She won the National Book Award for one of the best celebrity memoirs ever written.
Anyway, Bacall is charming and flirty with Johnny Carson in this Tonight Show interview and they have terrific chemistry. She talks about ex-husband Jason Robards a bit more than usual and also about ex-fiance Frank Sinatra. And, of course, she is asked about Bogie.
