Finding Prince Charming’s bachelor Robert Sepulveda Jr. is denying he ever did porn

As Finding Prince Charming premieres on Logo tonight, star Robert Sepulveda Jr is denying that he ever did gay porn.

‘There are stories that I did porn. I never did porn,’ Sepúlveda tells People.com.

‘There is a video circulating out there that I shot privately and sent to an ex-boyfriend. It feels so violating that someone would take something so private and share it with the world. I want to work to make sure there are laws protecting people from similar situations. It’s just not right.’

But Sepulveda does not deny his past as a gay escort which began when he was in his early 20s.

He says his bank account balance was $2.14 at the time.

‘The small furniture store I was working at suddenly went out of business,’ he tells People.com.

‘I didn’t know how I was going to pay rent or my [college] tuition or buy food.’

It was 2004 and Sepulveda was a student at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He juggled classes with escort work for the next two years until graduation.

‘I saw no other way to support myself so I decided to do it too,’ he says ‘I had all those expenses, I just knew that I had to do something. I had no other choice.’

Sepulveda, 33, says his family and friends knew how he was earning money but it wasn’t something he wanted the world to know about. ‘

I didn’t want to have to talk about that time in my life again,’ he says. ‘But I’m not ashamed of my past. I own it, and I talk about it with the guys on [Finding Prince Charming.]‘

Logo claims they knew everything all along although sources told The Wrap last week producers were ‘blindsided’ during production.

‘We are aware of Robert’s past and fully support him as he moves forward in his search for love on Finding Prince Charming.’

On the show, 13 suitors will be vying for Sepulveda’s heart.

3 Remarks

  1. I just love these people that say “I had no other choice than escort work to support myself.” There was literally nothing else he could do for work? I understand it’s a lucrative thing to do, that if you’re handsome takes very little time to make money at. But c’mon. Literally there was nothing else? “Oh gosh, I lost my job. I guess I have no other choice than to be a rent boy. Guess it’s nothing but condoms and enemas for me now.”

  2. He was doing escort work as recently as this year. It’s not difficult to find photos of his porn activities online, he wasn’t just a rent boy, he recorded some very risky sex practices and they are all on the web. Strange that he would go onto a gay dating show and not realize his previous activities wouldn’t become known.

  3. “I just love these people that say”…
    Do you really love them?
We all do what we think is best given our circumstances. All of us.
It’s usually easier to give advice to others than it is to figure out what’s best for our own lives. Armchairs are a comfortable thing.
