Federer Fever: Two matches away from 8th title
Roger Federer fans are feeling the fever – including your faithful blogger.
The seven-time Wimbledon champ beat reigning Australian Open champ Stan Wawrinka in the quarterfinals today in four tight sets.
The victory places Fed in the 35th grand slam semifinal of his unparallelled career.
He was seeded to next meet his nemesis Rafael Nadal in the semis but Nadal lost in the fourth round. Instead, Federer will play 8th seeded Milos Raonic who should prove to be an easier opponent than Nadal would have been.
Should Federer win the semi, as expected, he would meet either Novak Djokovic or Grigor Dimitrov who upset defending champ Andy Murray.
I like Federer’s chances against either of those guys in a final at Wimbledon!

Hey Greg, I’m pulling for Roger of course but don’t discount Milos-he’s cerebral, young and hungry. I believe he could go all the way.
Can you imagine the celebrations in Canada should Bouchard and Milos win both singles titles? What a party that’ll be.
