Emmys: See Niecy Nash-Betts accept her trophy!

This was one of my favorite speeches from tonight’s Emmys – just a joyous, glorious moment for a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Niecy Nash-Betts accepts the Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story at the 75th Emmy Awards.

She said: “And you know who I want to thank? I want to thank me, for believing in me and doing what they said I could not do,” she said while onstage at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater. “I want to say to myself in front of all you beautiful people: Go on girl, with your bad self! You did that!”
