Elton John returns from illness, warns that younger generation needs to be “re-educated” about AIDS

Elton John was so sick recently that he had to cancel a series of concerts as he recovered from the flu and e.coli.

But on Monday night, a trimmer Elton returned to the spotlight to host a star-studded fundraiser in New York City for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The crowd included former President Bill Clinton, Elton’s better-half David Furnish,  sexy Daniel Craig, gorgeous Sharon Stone and rocker Courtney Love.

The British paper The Mail quotes Elton as saying that young people are becoming complacent about the dangers of unsafe sex.

The foundation’s focus is on funding innovative HIV prevention programs, working to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and offering direct care and support services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
