Death of Prince: Boy George, Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge and other react and pay tribute
The death of Prince sent many out celebrities to social media today to pay tribute to the music legend and had many expressing their utter shock at hearing the news.
‘My life love and music is more sexy and soulful because he lived and created. My heart is breaking,’ tweeted Melissa Etheridge who, like Prince, has won Grammys and an Oscar for her music.
Country music singer Chely Wright posted this tribute on Twitter: ‘Prince was our Elvis… and I’m not sure that even says enough about the way that @prince impacted music, art and culture.’
A crying Boy George proclaimed it ‘the worst day ever’ on Twitter and Ellen DeGeneres tweeted: Prince was brilliant and larger than life. What a sad day.’
Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen tweeted in all caps: ‘THIS CAN NOT BE POSSIBLE!!!!!!! NO NO NO NO NO.’
