Daytime Soap Clip: It seems Luke and Reid are now in a relationship on “As the World Turns”
Good grief, the chemistry between Luke and Reid is off the charts!
That is all credit to actors Van Hansis and Eric Sheffer Stevens who make you believe that Luke and Reid are falling in love and want to rip off each other’s clothes in a way we never really believed with Noah.
We so rarely see daytime TV’s only gay couple so things move fast when they have their weekly episode. Today they are talking about being in a relationship and Reid is very appealing and sweet in these scenes.
But, of course, the intimacy has to be interrupted with other plot developments to keep Luke and Reid contained in their single episode for the week: Reid goes from not having a job to being groomed for the chief of staff job.
Whew!

I don’t know whether to be happy about the episode or not.
It’s ridiculous they won’t give them more broadcasting time and don’t let them at the very least kiss.
Still, having said all of the above they were also incredibly adorable and hot yesterday which by default makes me happyish *sigh*

ESS and VH were amazing as usual. I CRAVE seeing them on my screen and will be so sad when it all comes to an end in September.

Luke & Reid are the best couple on any soap. Not just the best gay couple on any soap. They have more chemistry together just looking in each others eyes than all of the others kissing & having sex.
It’s stupid that they can’t have more kissing scenes between these too. Yesterday there were 2 scenes that just a quick kiss goodbye between the 2 would of been natural & would of been done with all of the other couples but not them.

Following this storyline has been frustrating with so little air time for this couple. The two week long break killed the momentum for me. I think there was also a continuity issue about Luke’s resignation from the board. The writing is definitely inconsistent.
While the heat and chemistry between ESS and VH is incredible, I have a hard time believing that Luke and Reid haven’t already had sex. If their attraction to each other is that intense, it would’ve been natural for them to have done so by now. What gives? Who knows. Maybe next they’ll go shopping for purity rings.
Of course the lack of intimacy is most likely due to the self-censorship/backlash fear. Guess I shouldn’t look for believable or logical behavior in a soap opera. If it wern’t for ESS and VH, I would’ve dropped this storyline a while ago.
