Days of Our Lives: Will confides in Sonny that he is afraid of being rejected by his family

The Will Horton gay storyline on Days of Our Lives has really hit its stride with some great writing and top-notch acting by Chandler Massey as Will.

Today’s episode begins with Will and his grandma Marlena being interrupted by his mother Sami who is accusing them of telling her husband she cheated on him with her ex.

After some family drama, Will flees and Sonny soon finds him and it is then that Will confesses his fears about coming out: ‘Just because I’ve kissed a guy doesn’t mean I’m automatically gay. I’ve been fighting these feelings all my life. I thought, I hoped, they would go away. Now I’m afraid they might never go away.”

“I’m just not ready. I’m not ready to accept this for my life. This is not the life I planned for myself.”

He then confides that he fears his family will reject him – his mother, his paternal grandparents, his father.

Sonny is solid with his advice and has been where Will is: “Once you stop worrying about other people’s reactions, it gets easier.”
