Darren Criss, who plays the new gay BFF of Kurt (Chris Colfer) on the show, has already quickly been made a series regular.

Now Deadline Hollywood reports that Glee‘s rendition of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream debuted at #1 in digital track sales with 214,000 tracks sold, the first time a Glee track has done so. (Glee‘s signature song, cast’s version of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ reached #2 in May 2009.)

Criss sang the solo literally seconds after his character was introduced on the show.

2 Remarks

  1. Gee I remember when I was that age before I was cynical, well that was in the days when for us there was “Xanadu”, “Can’t Stop the Music” and “Grease” well I think we where hopeless and romantic.

But Geesssss have to watch this VIDEO and you know what?!? It takes the cynic out of me and remember my youth…… Everyone clap “Yes I do believe in fairies and I do believe in love!” and then I wake up and thank my lucky stars I live in a country where I can say and dream….
“Yes I do believe in fairies and I do believe in love!”

Thank god I live in Canada where yes dreams can come true.

I honestly believe that what is wrong for the youth in the states today is that you have a system that is fighting to make the dream come true, the youth see this and it gives them hope and it gives them dreams and thank god for that, I just wish the American Politicians would wake up and make this dream come true for all Gays and Lesbians in the US.

If you went back in the History of the United States and looked at the rights for blacks in their time of fighting for their rights you would see there was demented bullying and persecution. All because their rights where questioned because it was headlines constantly across the country. It made the issue a volatile nature for all blacks at the time, and for right now it makes the same issue for the young GLTB community of the US.

If you didn’t have such an issue across the country right now of same sex marriage and DADT it wouldn’t highlight the gay issue so badly for the youth so they would be so terrorized.

My point is:- Once your gay marriages are recognized and once DADT goes away then the persecution of young GLTB will slowly dissolve and it will not be so bad for them.

I feel so sad for Americans Youths right now because of the fight that is going on publicly to help their future is costing them so much of their time right now.

  2. Oh and I forgot to mention:-

I am a legally married MAN to another MAN! I have the right to be married to the man I love I live in a country where there are hate crime in place, our laws allow armed services members to be gay or lesbian, and above all I have the freedom of speech…… And I am not American. When and where did the USA lose its identity? When did it lose the right to be the freedom fighters of the world? And when did it lose the recognition of its own DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE?

I have this one question for all Americans………

Does it not state in your DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE all Men are Created Equal? Can a judge be in the minds of your Fathers of the Independence and state well of course all Men are Created Equal as long as they are Heterosexual! Or is that in the paragraph that was written in invisible ink that you never knew about?

    Sorry just wondering?
