Connor and Jude face a big separation when “The Fosters” returns to air on January 25
In the trailer for the winter premiere of the series The Fosters, the teenage character of Jude can be seen saying to his boyfriend Connor: ‘Nothing is going to be the same without you.’
Is this the end of romance between the two 13-year-old characters who have been such a hit with with the show’s fans that they have given the couple the moniker ‘Jonnor’?
The couple share a heartfelt moment as Connor (Gavin MacIntosh) prepares to move to Los Angeles.
It was just last March that Connor and Jude (Hayden Byerly) made TV history in when they became the youngest same-sex couple to share an on-screen kiss (see second video below).
The series follows the lives of the Foster family which is headed by an interracial lesbian couple who are raising a blended family of biological, adopted and foster children.
Jude came to the family as an abused foster child and was subsequently adopted into the family. He began questioning his sexuality and the nature of his feelings for Connor.
The pair went on to grapple with something other young couples face: how public should they go with their relationship and do they want to be labeled as gay?
The change in geography for Connor isn’t the only change for the show. It will now air on Freeform which is the new name of the ABC-owned cable channel formerly known as ABC Family.
The Fosters resume its third season on January 25.
