Clay Aiken talks to Larry King about why he’s running for a seat in the US House of Representatives
Just because he isn’t on CNN anymore doesn’t mean that Larry King still isn’t one of the busiest interviewers around.
I regularly watch his series Larry King Now on Hulu and will sometimes catch his other show, Politicking, as well. He had Clay Aiken on Politicking this week and Clay talks about his run for a seat in the US House of Reps. He is the Democratic nominee for the seat representing North Carolina’s second district and faces an uphill climb in unseating Republican incumbent Renee Ellmers.
But Clay certainly seems to know the issues as you can see in this new interview.

I’d like to think he can pull it off and win but unfortunately he’s running against a tea bagger in an off year election in a republican district. It will take a monumental effort and some luck for Clay to win.

I live in this district. I honestly don’t think he has a chance. I’d LOVE for him to get a chance though. He spoke yesterday to a tea party group here. SO he’s really trying. I just think we have too many that vote party only.
Nurse Ellmers is an embarrassment to us.
Suse says:
Clay does his homework, has good ideas, cares about people and issues and is truly dynamic. He’s open to hearing all sides of an issue & working for a non-partisan solution. The list of his entertainment and humanitarian contributions in only 11 years in the public eye runs off the page. Chip, why don’t you consider volunteering for his campaign. You can sign up through clayaiken.com where folks can also go to zero in on Clay’s position on issues only grazed here – or not discussed at all. It’s time to change the tone in Washington.
