Classic Movie Wednesday: Memorable scenes from 1987′s “Moonstruck” starring Cher

Don’t know how many times I’ve watched Moonstruck but it’s been at least a dozen. And I’m sure I’ll watch it plenty more times because it’s such a wonderful movie anchored by Cher in an Oscar winning performance that is the best of her career.
As Loretta Castorini, Cher is a 37-year-old widow unlucky in love. She’s very practical and agrees to marry a man (Danny Aiello) she does not love. When he leaves for Italy to care for his allegedly dying mother, Loretta meets his younger brother (Nicholas Cage) and an unlikely romance ensues.
Of course there’s the famous “Snap out of it!” slap but there is so much more and just wonderful performances from Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis as Loretta’s mother and the late Vincent Gardenia as her cheating father.
Enjoy some scenes from Moonstruck.
