Cindy Williams tells some stories on “The Talk”

Saw Cindy Williams on Home & Family the other day and was completely engaged as she told some hilarious stories about her days on Laverne & Shirley which was just a massive hit in the 1970s. Cindy has a new book out called Shirley, You Jest that I’m very interested in getting the audiobook of because of how good she is with an anecdote. She also told a few on The Talk this week (see video above).

One Remark

    Bruce Wayne says:

Back in the 70s, I worked at Paramount Studios, and watched some of the filming of their sit-coms. On The Odd Couple, they would adlib many of the lines, in order to Not reveal the Actual Funniest lines during set-up, lighting, etc.
Penny Marshall, in one that I recall, was walking off the set with the actor, Gerard Prendergast, a very handsome blonde. The first time, she said, “did anyone ever tell you you look like Troy Donahue?’
The second time, she said, ‘did anyone ever tell you you look like a Blonde Tony Danza?’
