Cher is writing a memoir!
Cher is known for being honest and fairly candid. So it’s exciting news that she is working on her memoirs.
She broke the news herself this week on Twitter: “Writing Life Story. Book Due Out First Part Of 2020. Bio Pic To Follow”
At 73, this is a good time for the icon to reflect on an epic life that includes being a 1960s pop star (I Got You Babe, Bang Bang, The Beat Goes On), a 1970s television star (Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, The Cher Show), a 1980s Oscar-winning actress (Moonstruck, Mask, Silkwood) and the past 30 years as a top-selling recording artist (Believe, If I Could Turn Back Time, I Found Someone) and live performer whose tours sell out around the world.
This is a particularly busy period for Cher who has been known to spend several years at a time out of the limelight only to come back bigger than ever.
She was a Kennedy Center honoree a few weeks ago, the Broadway musical about her life story recently opened, and her fall album of ABBA sings debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts. She also had a well-received role in the summer film Mamma Mia 2.
